Robyn Whinfield was born in Pyramid Hill and spent her formative years on the family farm Dunromin at Macorna, a small farming community in north central Victoria. She is the granddaughter of David Horace Whinfield. She went to school in Kerang and studied at Monash University in Melbourne. She moved to the Northern Territory 30 years ago where she experienced a myriad of adventures that are unique to the Territory. She lives in Darwin.
